Schools Under Islamic Education Trust

is the research and public enlightenment department of IET. It is an internationally recognized institute for its ground breaking efforts in research, training, and development of resources and methods for Da'wah. Stirred by the passion to mitigate the numerous challenges posed by contemporary society to Islam and Muslims, where many Muslim youths suffer from an acute intellectual inferiority complex about their faith and lack the basic knowledge, guidance and confidence to practice and share their faith with others; DIN has, with Allah's grace, researched and prepared various resources to help young people (Muslims in particular) prepare for their present and future challenges. This is to help clear misconceptions that both Muslims and people of other faiths have about Islam. The Institute also engages in interfaith bridge-building, and has contributed in no small measures to propagating peaceful and harmonious Muslim-Christian relations in Nigeria. Also, in a bid to engage and influence a wider audience, the DIN regularly publishes and distributes training manuals, books and audio CDs on various topics within their thematic areas; and also disseminates relevant contents through her digital media platforms.

The humanitarian activities of the IET is carried out by the Welfare Department, which raises funds for education of orphans, empowerment of widows, medical aid for the needy, providing food aid for the less privileged, constructing water wells and tanks for deserving communities, amongst other forms of humanitarian assistance. The organization currently sponsors over 130 orphans in different schools, and also carries out weekly charity visits to many places of need such as Hospitals, remand home, correctional centres and orphanage.

The Education Department of the Islamic Education Trust oversees New Horizons College, Minna; New Horizons Nursery School, Minna; Sunrise International School, Abuja; IET Weekend School, Minna; and the Modibbo Model Islamic School, Wushishi, Niger State. All the schools have been able to keep moving with a resolution of improving on high academic standard and performances, character development as well as the spiritual well-being of the pupils/students.

Celebrating 50 Years of Promoting Knowledge Across the Globe

Over its 5 decades of existence, IET has piloted a number of initiatives and projects, many of which have successfully grown into independent organizations. One of our mantras in IET is 'to not care who gets the credit as long as the work gets done. As such, we plan to continue to initiate and pilot such projects that would be beneficial to the Ummah and humanity at large, with the hope that other stakeholders would support these ideas, and possibly replicate them in other locations for faster diffusion.
